Emirates to Use Blockchain
In a recent talk at Arab News’ Arabian Travel Market reports, Chief Operating Officer at Emirates, Adel Ahmed Al-Redha, shed some light on the company’s aims regarding Blockchain, NFT, and Metaverse.
Seemingly, to enhance customer experience in many regards, Emirates is aiming to integrate some of the world’s most advanced software technologies I.e. Blockchain, NFT and Metaverse, into the company’s network.
COO Adel stated that they have intentions to employ Bitcoin as payment service as the company simultaneously introduces NFT-Non Fungicide Tokens.
To monitor customers’ needs, Emirates is also employing people relating to NFTs and Metaverse at their headquarters in Garhoud, Dubai.
Adel said that the company intends to use blockchain to trace data of their airplanes. Adel added that Metaverse and NFT are two different technologies. Metaverse, he stated, can transform company’s processes.
“whether it is in operation, training, sales on the website, or complete experience — into a metaverse type application, but more importantly making it interactive,” Adel noted.
Emirates, the Market Leader
As for the airline market’s current state, Adel stated that the market has made a healthy recovery.
Founded in 1985, Emirates is owned by the Government of Dubai. For years, Emirates has been ranked as one of the world’s top airlines. It is such an optic for the blockchain community seeing an organisation like Emirates using blockchain to enhance customer experience.
Moreover, Blockchain, NFT and Metaverse, together, can change company’s processes dramatically leading to an enhanced customer experience. Notably, following the course of market leader Emirates, smaller companies may also explore the blockchain.
